The Miracle Economy of God

8/9/2018

                                          Receiving God’s Blessing One-Hundred Fold

                                                                                                     Introduction

In this book I would just like to discuss everything the Lord has shown me on financial blessings, simply because it is an important thing to understand.  The main problem in many people’s lives, and including my own at times, is not understanding the angles of how God’s economy works, and how to be a good steward of money.  In the beginning of my walk with God, I was not much of a giver, but I learned this doctrine over time and how important it is to having God’s blessing.  There are many lies and deceptions going on in Christianity about money, and the mention of it often causes great negative emotions to rise from people.  This book will give the Biblical teaching on money, how much we should have of it, how much we should give of it, and how to live by the economy of God, and not the debt-based economy of the world.  This writing will give as many Scriptures as I know on how to increase in work, increase in offerings to God, and be multiplied with the blessing of the Promised Land.  Being poor is not wrong, neither is being rich wrong; God has told me I would be poor at the beginning until He provides.  It’s just the fact that people should be so much in the will of God that they increase in every area of life, not necessarily because they work hard at their job, but because they follow the commandments of God that determine their wealth, and also learning to lay up treasure in heaven.  Every time we give to the Ministry and work of God, or else give to the poor, we are laying up treasure in heaven.  It doesn’t mean we will only be blessed when we die, but it means the heaven is opened by our generosity, and we learn to receive one-hundred fold blessings based on our Spirit-led giving and our faith in Him.  The world’s economy is based on trade, but God’s economy is based on alms-giving and gift-giving, as Jesus said, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38)  Obedience to these commandments of Jesus Christ will cause the windows of heaven to open, and there is no other way for God to open His hand, except we learn to open our hand first.  The reason for that is because if we are not givers, there is no reason to continue receiving miracle blessings of finances, because many people are takers, and this type of greedy attitude affects our entire being.  If people don’t learn to give their money, then how can they be trusted with greater and truer riches?  (See Luke 16:11)  Unless people learn to give their money cheerfully, and do it without the desire for self-righteousness, then they will remain in poverty.  I am hoping this book will transform the thoughts about money using the Scriptures and the Wisdom of God, so that people can overflow with blessings and not have to worry about their financial situations.  It may require faith and trust in God and His unlimited power and resources, but that is not hard.  Paul wrote, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17)  So as long as people have faith in God, it should be evidenced through their giving; knowing full well that God is a rewarder of Spirit-led giving.

Chapter 1
Sacrificing for God

In this book I decided to cut to the chase, because the economy of God is quite simple; it’s about being a giver.  It’s about sowing seed, waiting patiently in faith and expectation, and reaping a harvest.  There are many preachers who preach this message, but they often do it in an unfaithful manner and live in unnecessary luxuries.  The Bible is very clear, in 2 Corinthians 9:6-11, that money and finances can be a seed that we sow, whether into God’s work or to the poor and needy.  People must be sure they are sowing into God’s work and not something unfruitful or dead, otherwise they will not multiply their seed.  It’s the same principal as investing in a dying company; it causes nothing but loss.  God’s Kingdom is an eternal Kingdom, and it is not difficult for Him to do miracles and bring open heavens for anything we sacrifice for His Gospel.  Jesus said, “And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” (Matthew 19:29)  It’s a pretty simply truth, but multitudes of people do not follow it.  In divine life, to hold and cling to something, is to lose, and to lose something, is to gain.  So people must know that giving up a wife, or family, or house, or land, or money, for the Gospel of Christ, they will inherit one-hundred fold more of the same in their Spirit-led life.  As long as people have a tight hold on their material wealth, they will not often inherit God’s wealth.  See, as we sacrifice our offerings to God, there is treasure laid up for us in heaven, and He can deposit those treasures to us throughout our life as we wait upon Him.  There is also a lot of blessings God gives to His children, that cannot be purchased with money, but He gives them to us through the open heavens that we create through tithes and offerings.  Having God’s financial blessing does not require or depend upon anything but God being the Source of our blessing; He may use miraculous means to transfer blessings to us, or to meet our needs, but it doesn’t require us taking action or doing something through self-determination.  As we give our substance to the poor or to those who have needs, it is by no means a credit, but a gift.  In other words, we should never give credits to any needy person, but only gifts.  We never need to be paid back if God promises already to reward our gifts with His blessing.

“Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.  But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:  That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.” - Matthew 6:1-4

“Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.” - Luke 12:33

“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.” - Luke 6:35

So a lot of times Jesus says to not lay up treasure on earth, but to lay up treasure in heaven.  It is kind of a mystery, because naturally we think about paying bills, and keeping up with our financial situation, which is a good thing to do.  But as God’s people offer at least 10% of their post-tax money to God, it becomes spiritual currency which God can put to our heavenly account, and pay back to us in manifold ways.  As Paul wrote, it’s not a necessity to give, in other words, it should not be forced upon people; but those who have a willing heart to give, they are the beneficiaries of God’s blessings (2 Corinthians 9:7).  In a spiritual manner, and in Israel’s history, a tithe is to be the first fruits of our paycheck, it is the best portion that belongs to God and the work of His Kingdom.  As it is written, “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:  So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” (Proverbs 3:9-10)  At the end of our life it will not matter how much money one has made as an income, it will only matter how much we gave to the Gospel or bestowed to the poor and needy.  It may seem like a sacrifice to give a large donation, but when people see God’s hand move on their behalf, they will know that they are being blessed for their obedience.  It may be better to start by giving small seeds of money, to test the principal on a smaller scale, and when a person is comfortable in their small donations and the rewards God gives, then God can open the door for larger donations and larger rewards.  So long as we do these things in secret, and not for self-righteousness or for a vain-glorious show, then God will bless us openly, as Jesus promised (see Matthew 6:4).
One of the most important Scriptures on the truth of prospering in life is helping others prosper who are less fortunate, as it is written in Isaiah 58.  People must remember that to fast is to abstain from the world and its cares and lusts, and focus on God, and doing His will, and learning and speaking His words of life and grace.  It is helping the poor and needy, and I would say offering money to the ministry of the Kingdom is a way of fulfilling Isaiah 58.  Those who commit to this Gospel message found in Isaiah 58, they will have speedy health and they will have the Lord’s blessing in fullness as they continue in the doctrine of Jesus Christ.  Also removing the accusatory finger and learning to show mercy instead.  Often people will not forgive other people until they themselves are forgiven their sins, but spreading God’s forgiveness is a way of showing His love.  For those who are God’s children, we will be blessed in abiding in this truth of Isaiah 58, and see the satisfaction of many souls.  Here is one of the most important Scriptures of finding God’s blessing through learning to help and show generosity in ministry:

“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?  Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?  Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.  Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;  And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:  And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” - Isaiah 58:6-11

So as you can see from reading Isaiah 58, a lot of emphasis and weight hangs on giving and helping one another, especially those in need.  Not everyone has time to visit the poor, and do all of this work, but there are many who do this work, and they need money to operate their ministry.  It is ministry of the spirit, soul and body, and those who seek to let God’s Spirit guide them, will be able to do this Good Samaritan work of Christ.  Jesus IS the Good Samaritan, and it was by this Christian Gospel that the poor and hopeless will indeed find the answer.  In this word, God promises speedy health, satisfaction of the soul, and brightness of light as the noon day.  In other words, God gives a lot of favor to those who learn to sacrifice their money for Him.  Our salvation to the uttermost depends on being converted from a taker to being a giver.  From being led by greed and lust, to being transformed into the Grace of Charity by the Holy Ghost.  This is good will toward men, this is benevolence and truth that Christ brought to earth.  There was no one able to fulfill this work but Jesus Christ, and so we trust in His indwelling presence to work the miracle of charity to our own benefit.

Chapter 2
Sowing the Seed, Reaping the Harvest

In my other books I talked about sowing the Word of God to reap the manifold harvest that comes with the Word.  But there are many who do not yet realize that in 2 Corinthians 9, Paul is indeed referring to finances when he mentions the sowing of the seed.  I’ve heard people criticize the idea of prosperity, when in fact the Bible teaches people how to profit using faith in God, just as a farmer who plants seed, so those who sow into God’s work will reap a harvest.  In other words, all good deeds have a harvest.  As Paul wrote very clearly, “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:  (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.  Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)  Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-11)  It’s a rather large Scripture given by Paul, but it indeed preaches of the ABUNDANT blessings that occur for those who give their offerings to God in faith and expectation of God’s blessing.  It seems kind of noble to be one who gives without the thought of reward, but it is also ignorant and self-righteous.  Those who know the Word of God will give more and more, knowing God will give one-hundred fold back to us, but only in His way and in His timing.  We are a tiny creature in His sight, and it is not hard to give us wealth and riches if we are His children who are heirs to His Kingdom.  Every time we give to the Gospel work, there is fruit laid up to our account.  It doesn’t mean a Minister of God requires gifts, but as Paul wrote, “Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.  But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:17-19)  It is important to read these messages of Paul to the Philippians and Corinthians and understand how important giving and receiving is, because the Ministers of Jesus Christ are to live of the Gospel and EAT of the offerings, just as the Levites ate the offerings of Israel (1 Corinthians 9:14).  As Paul wrote, “a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God”, so he admitted that the gifts given to Paul were given to God.  And that is why Paul wrote that God will provide all their needs according to His riches in glory, because the Philippians had love for Paul and the apostles and gave to him of their substance.  If people only knew that this is the only way to have God’s open heavens, they would be doing it a lot more.  I call it the Philippian blessing, because only the Philippians were educated on the principal of giving and receiving, and they were obedient to the Gospel.

“He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.” - Proverbs 28:27

“He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.” - Proverbs 14:31

Some people might want to know how much to give of their money, but the answer is that it is relative to how much a person owns.  I’ve seen God do miracles on small donations of a few dollars, so long as it is a sacrifice to God.  If a person makes $70,000 post tax, then they should be giving at least $7,000 in a cheerful manner, if they desire to see God’s hand of blessing.  If people have more money they will be expected to give more.  It’s impossible to lose any money if people are certain of God’s faithfulness in provision and blessing, for He says, “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” (Proverbs 19:17)  If God promises to give back what was lended to Him, then why are so many people afraid to give?  It’s a no brainer.  Sow the seed, of your time, your love, your money, and God will bring the rain and the harvest.  People must be careful that the funds given are being used for the Gospel or the poor and needy, because there are many greedy pastors who are hirelings, and they only want money.  It’s okay to make a living as a Minister, but no one should minister only for money, because their heart is not in the Lord’s work.  If a Pastor is not sharing the Wisdom of God, the Knowledge of God, or ministering to the poor, then they should not receive tithes and offerings as a representative of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Chapter 3
Exceeding Abundance

There are a few Scriptures in the Bible that talk a lot about the exceeding and overflowing blessings that come to those who give.  God’s life is always about abundance, multiplication and overflow, for those who obey the Gospel message.  So long as people are not forced or manipulated into giving, then it is a work of GRACE, and not legalism or law-keeping.  Giving should always be a cheerful and joyous endeavor, and we are not ignorant of God’s promise of overwhelming blessings, as it is written, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.  And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 3:10-12)  This Scripture in Malachi is the most powerful Scripture on tithing and offering to God.  He promises to “rebuke the devourer”, which is silencing the attacks of the devil, and destroying his accusations.  As long as people are stingy and disobedient in God’s charity doctrines, the devil has accusing words against God’s people.  People must look at this Scripture and know that it is the key to opening heaven over one’s life.  God wants to pour out a blessing so big that there is not room enough to hold it.  I have seen this blessing in my life, and it will shock people at the wealth that will fall into your lap by the miracle of God.
A lot of people have taught that poverty is the way of Jesus Christ, but it’s not true.  The Scripture says, “Praise ye the LORD.  Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.  His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.  Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.” (Psalm 112:1-3)  So contrary to popular belief, the righteous people are not living in poverty, but they are living in wealth and riches, just as Abraham lived.  Like I said before, being poor isn’t wrong, and maybe God will allow poverty for a season of our life, but it is not how people should remain as they grow into the likeness of God and His Son by following His commandments and Scriptures.  Simply hearing the message of the Gospel will never justify a person; only as they open their wallet and start to use their money to bless people who need it.  God even promises to bless the works of our hands, if we learn to distribute our money in the appropriate amounts.  The Scriptures say there is enough riches on earth for everyone, but with our current economic system, it is often run by greedy people who live in extreme excess.  No one needs to have more money than they need, it must be distributed if people want to see God’s blessing in their life.  As long as people hoard their money, and live in luxury, then they will be in trouble with God.  You can’t argue with the Almighty, you can only die to the selfish heart that keeps people from giving to the degree that God commands us to give.  I’ve seen God’s open heavens, and I want them to continue forever, and the only way is to follow the Grace of giving; in other words, having a giving nature.  Give praise, give love, give time, give a listening ear, give goodwill to others, give grace.  As Jesus said, a good tree will produce good fruits, so we must abide in the Word of God to have this life flowing.  It takes a sacrifice of time to study the Scriptures, but it is the only way to have abundant life (John 10:10).

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” - Luke 6:38

A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.  Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.  He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.” - Psalm 112:5-7

“He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.” - Psalm 112:9

Jesus tells us an important piece of Wisdom, and it is “Give, and it shall be given unto you”.  As people understand this principal, they will be blessed exceedingly.  We don’t give to others, as a credit; we give and expect nothing in return.  We only know the truth, that God is our Source of supply, and we know that when we give to Him, He will give to us “exceedingly and abundantly above what we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20).  As long as God’s people seek first the Kingdom of God, and keep their eye single to His glory, they will be given an abundance of blessings, but only as they are able to receive them.  Not everyone is prepared to receive a blessing, so they must pray and ask for fortitude on the inner man, through study and fasting from the cares of this life, so they can have what their heart desires (see Psalm 37:4-5).  As the people of God delight in God, He will give them their joys and pleasures of knowing Him.  It’s also important to stay humble and modest, because people have often been destroyed by greed and love of money, because they have an evil eye.  As the proverb says, “He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.” (Proverbs 28:22)  This proverb was written by King Solomon, who is solely the wealthiest man who ever lived on this planet, and his wisdom is from the Mind of God.  When people are hasty to be rich, they often take short cuts and make hasty decisions, which are both the opposite of the Christ life that we must yield to.  Paul knew the power that mammon has over the human heart, and he commanded Timothy to flee seeking after riches (1 Timothy 6:11).  It’s only by seeking the Face of the LORD in fellowship that we are given material riches in His timing, and not by seeking riches themselves, as Jesus commanded, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)  As God’s people give themselves to learning the Wisdom of God, then She, Wisdom, will give riches, honor and length of days (Proverbs 3:16).  The Heavenly Father loved Solomon very much, and considered him to be His son, because Solomon desired God’s best gift, which is Wisdom.  It’s important if people do desire material blessings and marriage blessings, they must follow and study Wisdom from God’s Word.  The wisdom of the world is nothing but foolishness before God; it is based on survival and not grace.  It is based on endless hard work, and not resting in faith and hope.

Chapter 4
The Negative Side of Money

People who are given stewardship over great material riches, should know some of the dangers of money in general.  The transferal of money can cause the heart to be excited, but if people lose control of their godly vision, they can fall into troubles and start to waste their money.  The reason I’m writing this is because people who follow the Gospel will have an abundance of riches, and they must learn to stay humble and practice the Gospel message, otherwise they could lose themselves.  I mentioned Psalm 112, how riches and wealth dwell in the house of the righteous, but only if they “greatly delight” in God’s commandments and learning His Wisdom.  As long as people do not feel a need for God’s Wisdom, then the blessing of the Lord will not find place in them.  There is a certain Scripture of Solomon that says, “The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.” ( Ecclesiastes 5:12)    So the attitude we have on money, when we have riches in our possession, is to highly esteem them.  Especially if we have lived in poverty, we know how hard it is to find material wealth or to gain it.  The rich men of the world use their mind and mouth to create riches, but the poor use their blue collar work ethic to make a living.  But Solomon said that riches in general make it hard for rich people to sleep and find rest in life, so it’s important to keep that in mind.  Solomon also wrote, “Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.” (Ecclesiastes 5:19)  He said that riches and wealth are generally a gift from God if people learn to control themselves and walk wisely, and learn to be givers to godly causes.
In Ecclesiastes 6:2, this condition is a common thing among men, which is when they have an abundance of riches, but have not power to eat thereof.  Meaning, they themselves are lacking the spiritual fortitude and abundant life of Jesus Christ which would enable them to be healthy with their riches.  If people have hoards of excess riches and they do not distribute their portion to God, then they are in great delusion and idolatry.  They are practicing a false doctrine in life if they think they need millions and billions of dollars that are unused, while the poor have nothing.  The Apostle Paul wrote, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1 Timothy 6:10)  Another way to phrase it, is the idolatry of money is the root of all evil.  If money becomes more important than God, Truth or Jesus, than it is not being held with the right attitude.  People must be willing to GIVE UP their money for the sake of the Gospel, but that doesn’t mean Jesus will allow us to stay poor if He promises abundance in the Scripture.  It has to do with the world’s attitude verses God’s truth; Jesus wants people to sever their allegiance to money so they can be free to serve Him alone.  No one can be a true disciple of Jesus Christ if they are willing to compromise for the sake of money.  It’s fun to have money, and it’s a blessing according to the Bible, so long as we DON’T FORGET ABOUT GOD.  I believe that is why our money says, “In God We Trust”, even our government understands the danger of worshiping money, so we need a reminder of God being the one we worship.

“When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.  Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:  Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;  And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;  when thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.” - Deuteronomy 8:10-14

“Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.” - Psalm 62:10

“He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.” - Proverbs 28:22

So yes, there are some negative things about material wealth.  We shouldn’t often seek more than we need in life, and we shouldn’t live in luxury or in vain things of the world.  We as Christians should seek modest lifestyles, clothing, and such; and not let worldliness sneak into our hearts.  Jesus said He has prepared a mansion for us to live in, with pleasant riches and all good things, but it’s important that we are abiding and doing His will, and waiting upon Him.  “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2)  These are eternal homes that the Father has made for His Bride to dwell in, and find rest from their labors, so it’s important to receive correction and transfer our wealth into God’s keeping power.  Man, of himself, cannot perform good works; only through union with Christ can man be used to do good works, and receive an eternal inheritance.  It is good to always pray and ask the Heavenly Father for help in handling money, and know the right decisions to make for money, and being able to yield ourselves in making good decisions.

Chapter 5
Jesus: Blessed are the Poor

One thing that Jesus Christ said in His Gospel on earth, was “Blessed are the poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God” (Luke 6:20).  He also said, “woe unto the rich, for you have received your consolation.” (Luke 6:24)  The reason for this, was Jesus Christ, as God in the flesh, came to bring spiritual life to humans, in which He Himself is the Source.  If people are rich, happy, and successful without knowing Him as Savior, they can be deluded into denying Him or thinking they don’t need Him.  He spoke blessings over the poor, because He knew they would be the ones who have faith in Him and are the beneficiaries of the Gospel and Inheritance of God.  As James wrote, “Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?” (James 2:5)  It’s important to know that when people are poor, they have more open ears to God and a feeling of helplessness that draws them to the message of the Gospel.  God doesn’t help those who help themselves, but those who are unable to help themselves, by giving them grace and truth without any thought of self-effort or self-determination.  In my experience, I have had abundance of money at times, and I’ve had times where I have no money, and it is the times when I have no money that I can relax and focus on God.  Having great material wealth and focusing on the cares of this life can cause weaker Christians to lose track of the spiritual riches that they ought to be seeking first.  The Blessing of Abraham, which includes financial abundance, is a good blessing, but people must follow God’s process in receiving it and in His correct season and timing.  Without daily studying Scripture, praying, fasting from the cares of this life, then financial blessings would not profit them at all.  If people miss out on knowing God in the Secret Place of fellowship, then it doesn’t matter if they have financial blessings or not; they missed the whole will of God if people forsake the commandment of seeking Him first (see Matthew 6:33).
Jesus said, “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Matthew 19:24)  A lot of people shuttered at this saying of Jesus Christ, because He knew that a rich man doesn’t think about spiritual things very often, and they can be a stumbling block for many who trust in riches.  The real reason I believe Jesus said this, was because no material wealth that any rich man has can be taken with him to heaven.  Only he himself can go to heaven or hell, and not any material thing.  Jesus told them to lay up treasure in heaven by learning to give, and that is the New Testament manner in which a man can gain secure wealth, is through God gifting it to him through His process of giving.  Heavenly treasure does not mean we get it when we die, but it means it is in our account before God, and we will have it as God sees us ready to receive it.  If we have given nothing to God, then our treasures are empty, and we will have nothing in that day.  So people have to be on the path of giving to the Gospel, giving to fruitful charities, and see to it that we support the promotion of the poor.  As the poor and needy read and believe the Gospel, God will crown them with riches and joy, just as it is written, “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.” (1 Samuel 2:8)  As people learn to value the Wisdom of God and trust in the LORD God of Israel, they will be filled with treasures and be accompanied by the Lord.  He will cause the poor man to be exalted and inherit the throne of glory, and unspeakable joy, but this only comes through learning the Wisdom of God.  A hand out of money is a temporary blessing, and maybe that helps for some days to have help, but the long-term goal is the Wisdom of God.  Wisdom says, “Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.  My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.” (Proverbs 8:18-19)  She says riches and honour are with her; this is God’s Wisdom from before the world was created, and with her is God’s eternal life and purpose.  People need to know the value of studying and waiting upon the Lord with a single eye, so they can be prepared for His coming.  But yes, the poor are blessed as Jesus said; those who are rich can also be believers, but they must learn to donate things they don’t need without any fear, and if they do this, they will see miracles happen in their life.

Chapter 6
The Economy of the Kingdom

Here is an prophetic message that I’ve lived by from Frances J. Roberts book, Come Away My Beloved, called “The Economy of the Kingdom”:

Bring Me all the tithes, and I will open the gates of heaven and pour down upon you a fourfold blessing.  Yes, I will bless you in the grace of giving, and I will bless you with joy.  You shall open the door of ministry for My servants, and you shall partake of the fruits that will come as a result.  You will never give to Me and become the poorer for it.  In exchange for your small gifts, you shall be given My boundless riches.  Through the contribution that comes from a willing heart, I will be freed to bestow the abundance of heaven, treasures you could never purchase from the world.
But see that you give joyfully— for God delights in a cheerful giver— otherwise you grieve the Spirit, for has He not given to you without measure?  As you have received freely (for God always has a generous heart), you are required to give without grudging, not mindful of any sacrifice.
Your giving seems sacrificial only when viewed in the light of what other use you could have made of the money.  Give freely to the work of My Kingdom, and I will add to you the things you need.
Be my agents of righteousness and goodwill, and I will prove Myself to you as your loving Heavenly Father, supplying needs out of the riches of My own treasury— and this, too, will be an exciting adventure in your walk in the Spirit.
Indeed, you shall see in what miraculous ways I will care for your needs, and even in the process of doing this I will further the Kingdom; for others who give to you will also receive spiritual blessings.
Yes, My child, My economy is wonderful!  My Kingdom truly is not the kingdom of the world.  Even the material gifts you dedicate to Me immediately become “spiritual currency.”  You have given to Me that which I can multiply in spiritual blessings to you and to others.
Give, My children.  Your poverty shall be turned to wealth, and you will be freed from your anxieties concerning financial matters.  Give, and it will be given to you:  good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.

Above is a very important word of Prophecy from the Lord by poet Frances J. Roberts.  I recommend everything in that prophecy to be taken seriously, because it’s SO EASY to win in life if people are joyful givers.  I’ve seen unbelievable miracles happen off of moderate offerings, and we shouldn’t feel proud, but we should feel bad that we can’t give more and help more people who need financial help in other countries and even our own.  As people learn the Gospel, and as people learn this simple covenant of giving in the name of Jesus Christ, then they will overflow with blessings.  I wanted to include this message because it has led me into giving and receiving God’s boundless riches over the years.  We learn that giving our money into God’s hands, translates to “spiritual currency”, so it is good to lay up treasure in heaven through our gift-giving.  God cares about every one of us in the Beloved, and He wants us to be free of financial cares and burdens, so we can focus on His Kingdom work.  If people are poor and not seeing progress in life, then they do not yet have the blessing of Abraham, and they must go back to walking in the steps of faith until they see the promise of God (Romans 4:11-12).  “That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Galatians 3:14)  This is God’s intention, is to give the blessing of Abraham unto the Gentiles, and to give them the Kingdom of God and all its fullness, but only as they repent and follow Jesus Christ as disciples.  As long as money is the focus of any person, then they have an evil eye, and they do not know the Gospel of Grace.  Money is given to us as a result of obedience of the Gospel, it should not be sought for any other reason than to live for His glory and do God’s work.  It is true, true Ministers of Christ do get to enjoy riches and abundance, just as the Levites ate the sacrifices of Israel, because they are working for the Lord and shall be paid for their sacrifices.

Chapter 7
Blessings are for the Obedient

There are many Scriptures in the Bible on giving and receiving, but people must understand that only the obedient will receive the blessings of God.  God’s blessings have always been given as a response to an obedient and willing heart.  Just as Isaiah wrote, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” (Isaiah 1:19)  There are many who have a professed faith in God or Jesus Christ, but they have not learned to obey the Gospel message.  Some say obedience is difficult, but the important thing to know is each person will obey at the level of growth they are at, so God is not expecting the same result from every believer.  It’s also important to be obedient to God’s voice and His Holy Spirit, and not just a written set of laws.  The Laws of God are good and holy, but we are not justified by the letter of the law, but we are justified by the Spirit of the Lord dwelling in us.  Obedience for the Sons of God is following the Spirit of God every day, and eating our daily bread, and abiding in Christ with prayer and fellowship with His Holy Spirit.  As we learn to give our money to the work of the Kingdom, that is a prime example of real obedience, and God will respond with great blessings.  Let’s look at Deuteronomy 28:

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
—Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
—Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
—Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
—Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
—The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
—The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
—The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.

—And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.
—And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
—The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
—And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.” - Deuteronomy 28:1-13

This selection of Scriptures is very important to understand, and they are found in Deuteronomy 28:1-13 and the people of God who have ears to hear the Gospel, need to know that these blessings are yea and amen in Jesus Christ’s salvation (2 Corinthians 1:20).  These blessings are activated only through obedience to the VOICE of the Lord our God.  As we believe the Gospel of Christ and seek to obey His commandments, statutes and judgments, by the power of the Spirit and Grace of Christ, we will be blessed above all nations on earth.  He promises that the Remnant of Jacob will be the redeemed of the Lord, and His elect of grace, and they will be the ones who inherit these blessings.  Why would we fear persecution when God will smite our enemies and cause them to flee?  Why would we fear lack, when God promises plenteous goods, wives, lands and houses? (See Matthew 19:29)  He said we will lend to many nations, but not borrow; what that really means is this Remnant people will have found the Source of riches and abundance in God Himself.  If anyone has the power to lend and not borrow, then they have a supernatural Source that is unending.  That is what we have with the Almighty God, who is our Father.  Having riches does not mean we don’t find fulfillment in work, it means God will bless the works of our hands so long as we live an obedient life in the Lord.

Chapter 8
Blessing the Works of our Hands

There are many places where God promises to bless the works of our hands and cause us to prosper, due to our covenant with Him and our tithes and offerings.  This is a great truth to learn, and there are many scriptures in Deuteronomy where God promises to bless Israel if they follow His commandments.  This is one of the laws of God that will always work if we learn to use it; that if we give our tithes to God, we should expect inspiration in what our assignment on earth is to be.  We should expect him to give us uncommon grace to do great works.  People can’t complain that they don’t have a purpose, for everyone can have a purpose if they follow the Lord fully and ask Him for His assignment, and asking for our daily bread.  “The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” (Deuteronomy 28:8)  There are many places in the Law where God promises to bless the works of our hands, so long as we are obedient to His truth.  These are basic blessings that comes through our covenant of GIVING, and I’ve heard many testimonies of people whom God has increased and blessed in their business and career, based on their giving.  To be able to give to others, is to have power to bless; whereas if we are broke, we do not have as much power.  So people have to remember, if God increases them financially, they have to think about ways to bless people with their money, and to do good in the name of Jesus Christ.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” - Psalm 1:1-3

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” - Proverbs 16:3

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” - Psalm 37:4-5

The Scriptures promise prosperity to those who follow God’s Law and abide in His Scriptures, being doers of His will also.  There are many who study the Word but they do not prosper in life, because they don’t pray and know the will of the Father.  People must be sure to do the things God says, and not just hear the word of God, but be doers of the word.  As James wrote, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” (James 2:25)  This work is all the grace of God working in our hearts, but we must give the Holy Spirit consent to work in us.  We must seek, ask and knock our way into God’s will, for Jesus said, “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Matthew 7:8)  This process of asking and seeking is a FAITH action, and people must direct their faith into finding God’s Kingdom and righteousness, but it also takes denying oneself and their own will.  There are places where God promises to bless the works we do, and as it is written, we must commit our works unto God.  We must remember that through learning the Wisdom of God we are promoted by her into greater responsibilities.  As it says in the Word, “Exalt her [Wisdom], and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.” (Proverbs 4:8)  So the important thing is, if we have a low paying job, that may not be God’s will for our entire life.  He expects us to progress and be promoted through our growth in Christ and in Wisdom.  As long as the people of God promote His Wisdom, then they should expect promotion when the time is right.  Wisdom is an invaluable commodity that contains God’s life and virtue; not the wisdom of the world, but the Wisdom that comes from the Throne of God.

Chapter 9
Humility and Wealth

One of the difficult things people suffer with if their riches increase, is pride of life.  People have to beware of pride in all its manifestations, and learn to be humble if God multiplies their substance.  There have been people destroyed for their love of money, and their lack of spiritual blessings.  As long as people keep God and His Word their First Love, than they should be better off.  The Scriptures warn of the danger of false prophets who want to prey on innocent people, in order to get rich for themselves.  It’s fine to give money to the prophets and kings of God, but only if you are convinced they are authentic and genuine Ministers of our Lord Jesus Christ.  People who prosper must continually look to Jesus Christ to keep their soul healthy, and as Paul wrote, “As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.” (2 Corinthians 6:10)  If we live as Paul, who said we are “as possessing nothing” yet indeed in Christ we “possess all things”, then we will be blessed knowing that God is keeping us and we are freed from bondage to material things.  Many of the kings of Israel were very rich, and King David wrote, “if riches increase, set not your heart upon them” (Psalm 62:10)  David was someone who knew the value of Wisdom, so he knew that God’s Word is worth far more than gold and silver, as he wrote, “The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.” (Psalm 119:72)  The key is knowing that spiritual riches are the most integral part of possessing God’s blessings.  The problem is when people start to increase financially, they forget to have modest desires.  If we possess greater Wisdom, than we will also have purer desires when it comes to material things.  There’s nothing wrong with having a nice house and nice cars, but also seeking these blessings for others who are part of God’s covenant, and avoiding the vain luxuries of the world that are truly wasteful.  If something is vain in luxury, it means its worth is imaginary.

“Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.” - Proverbs 18:12

“By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.” - Proverbs 22:4

“The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.” - Proverbs 15:33

“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” - Proverbs 16:18’

One of the main temptations of money is when people do possess money, they think upon it and think of ways of using it.  And when they are broke, they turn to their normal life or seeking to find the will of God.  It is kind of a strange thing that happens to people, and it is the power of mammon, as Jesus said, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24)  In this saying, Jesus places God at the opposite of mammon, and that the two are opposed as masters.  Jesus admitted if people love money, then it is enmity against God, and vice versa.  I would say it is MAMMON, and not money itself, that is the primary idol in this regard, as being a thing that separates people from God.  As long as people spend all their energy trying to get money, and they compromise their faith, then they have forsaken the path of life with God.  Material wealth is not a bad thing at all, but it should be shared as much as possible, if we are full ourselves and overflowing with God’s blessings.  This is a work of God’s Grace, as Paul wrote, “Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.  For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;  Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;  And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.  Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” (2 Corinthians 9:11-15)  As the Apostle Paul wrote, the gift of charity for the Saints is a great work of Grace done through the obedience of those who have the power to give.  The best thing to do is listen to the Voice of the Holy Spirit who is always speaking to us in small whispers, as to what we shall do next.  We will never miss out on a blessing if we learn to bless others, as Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:8.

Chapter 10
The Wealth of the Sinner is Laid up for the Righteous

This chapter I would like to cover the wealth of the sinner.  It’s a Scripture many people quote, but yet we are not seeing the transfer of wealth as of 2018.  But it will indeed come through the manifestation of the Son of Man, just as it’s written in Isaiah 60.  The Lord promises to give to His Remnant people the invincibility of His Holy Spirit as they abide in Christ, and also having the glory of God, as it says, “Arise, shine, for thy Light is come.  And the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” (See Isaiah 60:1)  The Remnant of Jacob will be the people the Lord has made into His election of grace.  Just as Jacob was chosen as His elect one, and not Esau; so it shall be in the body of Christ; God chooses the weak and foolish things of the world to confound and destroy the mighty (1 Corinthians 1:27-29).  Those who are chosen and faithful in His Church will inherit the blessing of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the land of promise.  These shall be the ones who have the glory of the Father risen upon them, and they will be established in the land of Zion, and as it is written, the financial and militant powers of the Gentiles will be servants unto them.  “And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.  Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.  Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.  The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.” (Isaiah 60:3-6)  This is the revelation of the Son of Man upon the earth, when the wealth of the Gentiles will be bestowed upon God’s Remnant people, who is His Bride.  It includes gold and silver, which represent finances, but also the “forces” of the Gentiles, which means in general their power will be given in surrender to the Zion of God.

“Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.  And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.  Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.  For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.” - Isaiah 60:9-12

“And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.  And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.” - Micah 5:7-8

“The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.” - Isaiah 60:14

So these redeemed Saints of the Most high will be the first fruits unto God and the Lamb, and there will be songs of rejoicing to keep the fire of God going.  But it also says, “A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” (Proverbs 13:22)  God promises to turn the wealth of the billionaires and multi-millionaires into God’s hand, and help distribute to those who have needs.  This is not socialism, this is the power of the Kingdom of God and giving to the poor, and thus lending to the Lord.  Jesus said, “Whatever you do unto the least of these, My brethren, you did it unto Me” (Matthew 25:40).  They inherit the Kingdom of God because they fulfilled the royal law of “love thy neighbor as thyself”.  As Paul also wrote, “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;  That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;  Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” (1 Timothy 6:17-19)  So here Paul is speaking to Timothy, but it definitely applies to our world today.  Paul says there is a reward for those who distribute their wealth, and it is laying up treasure in heaven, and giving them a means of looking unto Jesus for eternal life.  It’s not a hard thing to do if we believe the message of the Gospel, but riches have power to blind some people on earth.  We must not trust in material wealth, because the proverb says, “He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.” (Proverbs 11:28)  It’s important to know the dangers of trusting in material wealth, so I wanted to put those Scriptures in this book.  People must trust in the living God, and follow His process of salvation.  Except we give up all we have, we cannot be His disciple (see Luke 14:33).  Learning the Wisdom of God and growing into spiritual stature of Jesus Christ must be our main goal if we desire to win the prize of abundant life.  If we skip these steps, then we will be incomplete with a lesser reward.

Chapter 11
Kings and Priests unto God

The next chapter of this book, I will talk about the Davidic Kingdom that the Lord will set up on earth, through the Branch of righteousness.  David was a man that knew that God is a giver of riches and honour unto His kings.  One could argue that financial blessings are what substantiates a kingdom on earth, simply because the proverb says, “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7)  King Solomon, David’s son, also wrote that, “The poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.” (Ecclesiastes 9:16)  So these words of wisdom could denote that there must be financial success in order for a person’s wisdom to be accepted by the world, and to cause him to be a ruler.  The Bible promises that riches and honour are part of His kingdom for those who overcome the wilderness experience of scarcity, and enter the promised land of abundance.  That is one thing people must remember, is wisdom and understanding are related to judgment, and those who are kings must reign by the wisdom of God that is given to them.  As wisdom says, “By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.  By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.” (Proverbs 8:15-16)  The LORD needs His chosen ones to come unto Him and receive the words of life and grace, and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the virtue that comes only through Him.  They must come and be perfected by the Priesthood that the Messiah has brought to them, and to seek the perfection of their souls according to the Grace Covenant.

“Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.” - 1 Chronicles 29:12

“Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.  Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.  If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.  Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.  Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.  For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.  Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.  Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” - Job 22:21-28

“Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.” - Isaiah 45:14

According to these Scriptures, those who are the kings and rulers of the Lord will be given the labour of Egypt, and many will fall before them as they are the Sons of God who will inherit all things.  I wanted to include the Scripture from Job so that people know that before God gives financial increase, people must repent and lay up God’s wisdom in their heart, and become spiritually mature.  Not everyone is willing to pay the price to have God’s best, but those whom He has chosen before the world will be His elect ones.  Without fortitude and moral rectitude in the heart then people might not be ready for the financial freedom of kingship.  People must be humble if they are a king upon David’s throne; they must remember that David was a worshipper of God, and he was one of the FEW who kept the faith with a perfect heart before God (1 Kings 11:4).  So this last chapter of the book I just wanted to reaffirm the biblical truth, that a Kingdom must be financed if it is to be manifested on earth.  Nobody listens to poor men’s wisdom according to Solomon, they listen to those who have labored in wisdom and the word of righteousness until they become as Christ is.  Those who will be left behind are the ones who did not treasure God’s Word, and they were not written in the book of remembrance (in Malachi 3:16), and so they will misunderstand the things of Jehovah.  But Joy and Gladness beyond all measure will be given to those who choose life with Jesus Christ and growth into His likeness.  As the Apostle John wrote, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.  And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” (1 John 3:2-3)  And John also wrote in Revelation, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation 5:10)

Chapter 12
The Apostle Paul

The last chapter of this book I want to talk about the Apostle Paul and also the other apostles, who history would tell us, were financially poor.  One of the things God does is he uses financial frugality to condemn people who abuse the principal of giving to God.  There are many pastors who live in unnecessary luxuries, and they are wasteful in their usage of money on selfishness, and on top of this, many do not have a ministry that is profiting the souls of the flock of God.  There are many false pastors who ask their flock for items that are exceedingly over what they need, and then it falls into the category of waste.  God is able to finance anything for His servants, but everyone must learn the principal of giving and receiving, and not being a burden or make merchandise of the people of God.  Paul said many of the false pastors are known by their avarice and their looking for ways to compromise for the sake of financial gain and luxury, in other words, they are more concerned about material wealth than saving souls into the Kingdom. (2 Corinthians 11:12-13)  It is true, it does cost money to publish the gospel and do the work of God, but pastors should not be indulging in unnecessary luxuries that are not befitting the name of Christ.  Pastors should not do anything that causes the enemies of God to reproach the name of Christ.  Paul wrote, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1 Timothy 6:10)  So in this passage, Paul is saying that the idolatry of money, which is mammon, can be a very harmful thing to a life of faith.  He is saying there are many that have their eye on being rich, and it is distracting to their focus on God.  He is saying that those who compromise their integrity and faith for the sake of money or fame is a principal that is the root of all evil.  That is called trafficking, and it was the Devil who was the first trafficker, because in the end, when people love money as an idol, than it is Jehovah that is hated and despised. (Matthew 6:24, Luke 16:13)  The Apostle Paul wanted Timothy to keep his focus on God and the Gospel, and believe in Him for provisions.  To labor for what perishes is to forfeit the high calling of God in Christ.  People will have riches if they have the blessing of Abraham, but they must receive them as God’s provisions, and not because we sought them as an end to our pursuit.

“But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.” - 2 Corinthians 11:12-13

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;  That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;  Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” - 1 Timothy 6:17-19

One thing people of God need to know is that they should not live in excess.  Whatever we do not need should be given as an offering to Jehovah, and He will count it as treasure in heaven to our account. (Luke 12:33)  Greed truly is the root of all evil, which is why you have an imbalance in the world economy.  10% of our society holds a vast and disproportionate percentage of the wealth, and they must know that it is laid up for the righteous. (Proverbs 13:22) God is able to give and God is able to take away, as long as people love money more than righteousness, or morals, or God, than it is an abomination to God (Luke 16:15).  Jesus said anything that becomes more important than God is an idol and an abomination, so people must remember that when it comes to their devotion in life.  The greatest commandment is to Love God, so that primary Love must not be given to anyone else!  Not work, not family, not money, not pleasures, but only the LORD Jehovah is the Creator who deserves all worship.  Only the Grace of God can bring this rich revelation to us, that if we believe the Gospel, then we must also do the Gospel, and live the Gospel.

“If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?  If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.  Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?  Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.  But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.” - 1 Corinthians 9:11-15

“What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.” - 1 Corinthians 9:18

The last thing in this book, is in 1 Corinthians 9, where the Apostle Paul does not want to abuse the Gospel of Christ.  Paul wanted the salvation of Jesus Christ to be free of charge.  In other words, when we give in the New Testament, it is not a payment, it is an offering.  Paul did not want people to owe him, but the truth is publishing the Gospel does cost money, and it should be an unspoken rule to give offerings when we are able to, to support the work of the Lord.  The reason I end with this word is because there are many so called ministers of Jesus Christ who demand tithing from their flock, when it was not done to the Apostle Paul.  He did not covet anyone’s gold or silver, but the truth is, if people have willing hearts to give, than they will have all of God’s blessings concerning it.  In other words, giving money as an offering must be a thing of free will and not manipulation or telling people ridiculous things.  People must be discerning who is bearing fruit in the Lord Jesus Christ, and give to those who are fruitful in the Lord, and not to those who fund lavish lifestyles.

Chapter 13
The Reward of Funding the Ministry

There are many Scriptures and instances where God greatly rewarded a person who helped fund and support a minister of God.  In the time of Elijah the prophet, there was a famine in the land of Israel, and God sent Elijah to a certain widow of Zarephath who had a son also.  Elijah was a very great prophet of God, and so he tested the woman’s faith when he told her that God would give her a limitless supply of meal and oil, but only if she gave to him a cake of the last of her meal and oil. (1 Kings 17:12-14)  See, the principal is giving to God and then receiving your miracle.  According to Proverbs 28:27, if we give to the poor, then we will never lack.  Elijah was God’s prophet, he was poor, and he needed God’s provisions through the obedience and faith of the widow.  Where ever Elijah the prophet went, God provided in miraculous ways, and God performed miracles through Elijah’s ministry, because he had great faith.  God is the same today as He was then, and as Jesus taught, those who receive a disciple of Christ will be blessed for his sake.  Those who reject the disciples of Jesus will be rejected also by God in the day of judgment.  It is important to love and show hospitality to those who serve the Lord in ministry, inasmuch as they bear the fruit of the Lord in their ministry, then they are approved also to give money to if they need it.

“He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.  And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.” - Matthew 10:41-42

“And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.  And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.  And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.  And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:  And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.  But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,  Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.  But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.” - Luke 10:5-12

Jesus is saying that those who give money and support to a prophet, will receive the same reward as the prophet.  Those who give and support a righteous man, will receive and partake of their reward.  And especially, those who support and give to a disciple of Christ, will rejoice in the reward that God gives through Christ.  A lot of times, the Jews were a very superstitious people who sought for signs, so that is why Jesus constantly referred to the rewards of obedience.  Just in case anyone was in doubt that God is a rewarder of good deeds, Jesus did affirm this many times.  The blessings of God the Father are invaluable in our world, and trying to live life without His riches is not wise or enjoyable.  There is no substitute for His favor for those who are hospitable and charitable people.
